While Skilled Nursing residential care centers do offer in-depth medical care, they are not just long term hospitals. Lincolnshire Healthcare and Rehabilitation strives to offer home-like comforts and an atmosphere that is much less restrictive than a hospital environment, while still delivering medical care that enhances healing. We promote autonomy and choice, and offer a variety of services, social activities and recreational opportunities. Residents can customize their daily routine, and are encouraged to continue external relationships and partake in activities that have always brought them joy. Modern Skilled Nursing centers are resident and community focused. Dining rooms, activities, outings and companionship offer residents and patients mental, physical and social stimulation.
Skilled Nursing Facilities are no longer places of lost hope.
Skilled Nursing facilities offer care for many people with different needs. Some of our residents will stay only for a month recovering from an injury or illness; other patients, like those with serious medical conditions, might require a lengthier stay. On average, one of four people being cared for in a Skilled Nursing facility will stay less than three months. More than 1.7 million individuals each year get the rehabilitative care they need in a Skilled Nursing Care center. Our objective for every resident is to help them achieve their highest potential. In an era when living an active life until 100, it is not out of the ordinary for an individual to need a bit of help getting back on track after an accident, injury or replacement of worn out joints.
For those that may not be able to return home, the objective may be to get to a point where outings with friends or family are part of their routine. Whatever the need is that brings our residents to us, the goal is equal for every one: Finding your best quality of life, living fully to the best of your ability each day.
