Communication is key at Lincolnshire nursing home:
When your loved one comes to live at Lincolnshire Nursing Home, we know she will be well cared for, happy and comfortable here. For your own peace of mind there are some things you can do for your loved one to know for certain that she is content in her new home.
Stay in touch with her, and talk often enough to get a good sense that her needs are regularly being met. Ask the questions you would want to be asked if the situation was reversed. Some of these might be: Are you comfortable? Do you feel safe? Is anything worrying you? Do you feel respected? Have you gotten acquainted with any other residents? Do you like the staff?
It’s best if you show interest and identify any concerns, while keeping the conversation natural. You don’t want to seem like you’re conducting an interrogation. Some questions might be better directed at staff. It can be helpful to have a main point of contact at the nursing home. Of course, you should feel like you can call at any time, but it makes sense to find out what time and person to contact for general updates. Finally, don’t settle for less than you need to know. If ever you can’t get a satisfying answer, head up the chain of command to a supervisor and on up if necessary. It’s also important that the staff has an accurate number for you.
We want you to feel confident that your loved one is in the best possible environment for his or her treatment and happiness. We welcome your interest and input.
