For many people, the term Skilled Nursing conjures images of lost and abandoned grand parents or great grand parents. Today’s skilled nursing facilities are centers for recovery and returning to the things we love after an accident or illness that has life altering affects.
While some of our residents need long term care for their own safety or due to restricted mobility, many of our guests are short term residents transitioning from hospital to home.
It is not uncommon for our residents to be recovering from an elective surgery such as hip or other joint replacement surgeries. Others join us to learn how to adjust to a health condition that changes the way they do things. Perhaps a stroke or head trauma that leaves the body needing to learn alternative routes to accomplish the things we are used to doing for ourselves.
Whether a resident is coming for short term physical or occupational therapy or they have chosen to make Lincolnshire home, our staff and medical professionals are dedicated to helping them achieve the best results possible. We also want our residents to enjoy the time they spend with is. It is not all work an no play! We encourage family and friends to spend time and participate in the process.
The best way to discover how much we value each resident is to schedule a personal visit.
